Let’s walk and talk.

With all of the beautiful parks and walking paths in the Tacoma area, lets get some fresh air and stimulate the mind body connection. I offer therapy in our beautiful Point Defiance Park, Titlow Park, and Chambers Bay. If you have another idea, let’s discuss.

Outdoor Therapy. Connect to yourself and your environment.

  • How it works.

We pick a place, we go for a stroll and open up. We can go with the flow or even do an exercise pace. I’ll let you control our pace. Walking broadens perspectives and can pull us out of ourselves and see the beauty around us. As a clinician, I strongly believe in the importance of holistic healiing.

  • The research

Research suggests walking is a solution for improving mental health as it minimizes mood swings, reduces stress levels, improves the sleeping index, and improves overall health (An & Chuo, 2022). Exposure to nature has positive effect on health including improved cognitive function, reduced blood pressure, mental health and sleep (Jimenez et. al., 2021). Being in the Pacific Northwest, we are blessed with the majesty of the Puget Sound, as well as many green biodiverse areas to enjoy and connect with.

It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit. - Robert Louis Stevenson
