ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Jared.

I like jiu-jitsu, progressive metal bands, and non-ordinary states of consciousness. I became a therapist because I know what it's like to be in emotional pain from the effects of childhood trauma and I know what it's like to be on the other side of it.

I work with men who want to return to a sense of self confidence or of "how I used to be", who want to come out of the dark hole they find themselves in and find ways to actually trust others in a deep way. The men I work with want someone to talk to because no one else really understands the pain, the rage, the fear and the massive amount of stress that is placed upon them.

I help my clients find a way through their emotional pain so that they don't have to carry it alone. I don't believe that anyone is broken; we are all capable of healing through our darkness and no matter what you have been through, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Therapy isn't magic. It's work, requires partnership and collaboration, and relationship between the two of us. When all three are in place, the process can lead to incredible transformations. You play your part and I play mine, and together we take you towards your goals with grit and grace.

I will always have your back, and I want you to know that I am listening, I provide no judgment, I understand the social pressures of our culture, and I want you to know that you are not alone.

As men, we are told to hold in, push down, and suppress our emotions, good, bad, and ugly.  In this space, we are authentically ourselves, whatever that looks like.  This is space to let out, yell, cry, depressurize what is holding us up.

If you're tired of dog paddling your way through life and want a different way of being, I'm here. My style is authentic, tailored to your needs, and person-centered. You are not alone.
